Readmission Application Only for Returning Students

Use the Readmission Application if you are a previous applicant or returning student.  If accepted, the student will enter a degree program at the tuition rate, degree requirements, and policies currently in effect at the time of readmission.

New Applicants How to Apply

Use the New Student Application only if you are a new student that has never applied to or attended Luther Rice in any capacity.

Admissions checklist:

  1. Submit the New Student Application listed directly above with a $50.00 non-refundable application fee or valid promotion code.
  2. Official transcripts sent directly to Luther Rice.

    You may use our request form if you wish (Transcript Request Form) or have your previous school email transcripts directly to us at  Mail official transcripts directly to: Luther Rice College & Seminary, Attn: Admissions, 3038 Evans Mill Road, Lithonia GA 30038

    The following official transcripts (based on applicants requested degree level) must be sent by mail or email directly to us from previous schools:

    • Undergraduate Applicants: High School or GED and transcripts of all college coursework completed.  
    • Graduate/Seminary Applicants: Transcripts required from completed undergraduate degree and any prior graduate coursework or degree.  NOTE: A high school transcript is only required for undergraduate applicants.
    • Doctoral Applicants: Transcript from a completed graduate degree in theology.
  3. Christian Character Reference Form 
    • When the application is submitted, a link to the electronic reference form will be emailed to the individual(s) listed on the application as the character reference.  The reference will complete the short form online and submit it directly back to the Admissions office electronically.
  4. Bible Knowledge Test
    • Complete the Bible Content Test.  This test is used to gauge your basic Bible knowledge.  It does not determine your eligibility to enter Luther Rice, except at the doctoral level.  A link and password information for the test will be sent via email once the application and application fee is processed.
  5. If needed, complete the financial aid process
    • Financial Aid Process.  When applying for Federal grants or loans or institutional scholarships, please be certain to complete the FAFSA.

Additional Application Notes

Doctoral Applicants: Doctoral applicants must posses a Master of Divinity degree from an institution with recognized accreditation.  Applicants who have not earned a Master of Divinity degree, but hold a master's degree and ninety (90) semester hours of accredited, graduate-level coursework in theology and/or ministry will be considered.  The minimum GPA required in all graduate work should be 3.0 (on 4.0 scale).

Non-Accredited Degrees: In the event that an applicant has completed a degree from an accredited or approved institution after completing a degree from an unaccredited or unapproved institution, acceptance to Luther Rice is at the discretion of the admissions office.

International Student Visas: Luther Rice is not currently admitting students that require F-1 student visas for study in the United States.  International students are encouraged to study using online courses.
